We need your help. Below you will see two images–one that Gloria and I like for the “face” of Fabulosokids, and one that our marketing pro likes. Each of us has great points about why their choice is better, and we have reached an impasse. The only way we can break the tie is to hear from you and to do what you tell us to do.
Please look at each image below, and chose the one that you think is the best logo for our company. Think about it from two perspectives–the one that you think best represents a kid-focused company as a logo, and the one that you would like to see on your child’s clothing, for example, or as a poster in their bedroom. If there are kids in the house or other adults, please get their opinions as well. The more opinions we have, the better.
You can let us know what you think in one of two ways. The easiest is to follow this link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KNZXWN2 and to answer the questions on the completely anonymous and secure Survey Monkey site. We have left you with the opportunity to leave your contact information with us if you like, and we hope you will, but it’s certainly not required to tell us your opinion.
The other option is to tell us, using the comment link for our blog site, which your favorite logo is. For other people who look at the logos with you, you can simply write adult 2, child 1, etc, and each of their choices. We would also love to know the genders and ages of each of the kids. Honestly though, the Survey Monkey link is the best way to go.
That’s it. Below are the logos with the names of each mascot below them. Please let us know what you think because, quite honestly, your vote really does count!

As a graphic designer and mom I thought I’d give my opinion. I love both logos, but I would definitely pick Neco Pandi. The reasons why are 1. Neco Pandi’s color scheme and soft water color style matches perfectly with the type. 2. I see every element of the design whereas with the Fabu logo my eye just goes right to cub first making the type secondary. I have to force myself to look to look at the type. In other words it’s more natural to look left to right. 3 Neco Pandi is different and makes me curious – there are lots of animals out there, but I want to know more who Neco Pandi is. Is he a monster? An alien? Both are excellent designs, but I think Fabu would work better with different type.
Thanks Cammy for the insightful comments. I appreciate your taking time to do this for us. If there is anything we can do to help you, please let us know.
I’m a mom and a marketer so this is an interesting question. Here are my thoughts: Fabuloso Kids is not the easiest name to say or remember. It may get confused with “Fabulous Kids” if someone reads it quickly. So you’d think, okay, then I want to pump up the name (the Fabu version). However, I’m not in love with the Fabu version because my eye doesn’t know where to go first since there’s a lot going on – large letters, different colored letters, and a cartoon character.
I vote for Neco Pandi and here’s why – going back to the company name not being the easiest, you want an image that will be instantly associated with your company even if there weren’t words (like how Starbucks now just using it’s logo without the words). I’m not saying lose the words, I’m just saying, if I’m a mom and I see this cute character (cuter than Fabu) then it’s easier to remember, “Oh, I like this brand/product” than remembering the correct name of the company (which people eventually will even if they don’t the first time). The eye flow is also better since your eye will naturally going to the prominent character Neco pandi on the left than scan right to your name. It’s cleaner and less “cluttered” than the first option.
Maria, you continue to impress me with your generosity and the support that you show us. Thank you so much for taking such time to tell us exactly what you are thinking–I can’t believe you apologized for a long comment! Your insight goes a long way toward sewing this decision up for us. Please, if there is anything that we can ever do for you, I want you to let us know.
I like both designs, but I think Fabu is better. Fabulosokids stands out more in that design. In the other one, the focus seems to be the egg kid.
definitely neco pandi. hands down.
I think Ashley states the case perfectly–Neco Pandi it is! There were only two votes for Fabu–exacty as our marketing pro told me it would be! Just goes to show you that surrounding yourself with people who are smarter than you is only half the task–listening to what they are telling you is the other, and more important, half!

Thank you! The mention is much appreciated. We were so impressed with the thought that went into this survey. Personally, I am excited to be moving forward with Neco Pandi – rest assured that some great things to come!
I really like Neco Pandi!! so colorful and unique!
